3D Lift Plan Designer

We are looking for an experienced 3D Lift Planner and CAD Operator with excellent design and drafting skills.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of 3D Lift Planner and AutoCAD experience in crane layouts, planning, and rigging details.  

• Experience in rigging methodology, crane sizing, understand ground bearing, and the ability to calculate rigging loads, centers of gravity, and steel weights based on drawings.

• Create detailed and accurate 3D Lift Planner and AutoCAD drawings essential for executing successful lifts in the field.

• Demonstrate the ability to quickly and accurately assemble multiple crane lifts.

• Utilize software to design and manage the mobilization and demobilization of Tower Cranes.

• Work closely with the Engineering Team, taking a central role in developing lift plans, detailing lift and rigging specifications, and reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

• Occasionally travel to field locations to collect measurements and accurately layout crane positions.

• Engage with Project Managers, Sales, Management, Customers, Vendors, and the Technical Team to ensure seamless project execution and communication.

Software/Skills:

• 3D Lift Planner
• AutoCAD 2013 or later
• Excel Programming
• MS Word
• MS PowerPoint
• Good math skills
• Good reasoning ability
• Good communication abilities not only in speech, but writing as well
• Rigging and Crane certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit at a computer, read computer screens, and input information for long periods of time.  Sharing office space is a possibility.  Some light travel could be required. Must be able to move about office as needed.  Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.
